You will also receive a FREE Classified Advertisment on ART4SALE's website for a period of 12 months.
WHAT CAN I CONSIGN TO ART4SALE?
By searching ART4SALE, you will get a good idea of artists represented at SWAHN GALLERIES & DESIGN. We will consider all renowned artist's limited edition graphics, sculpture and original works of art. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SELL MY ART ON CONSIGNMENT & WHEN WILL I GET PAID?
ART4SALE helps guide you with pricing in order to be competitive with the market. If you are motivated, you can price your art accordingly. Well priced artwork typically sells within 90 days or less. You will be notified when your art sells and payment will be issued within 7 days of completion of sale.
HOW DO I SHIP MY ART?
We recommend having Framed Art professionally boxed by your local framer. If framing is dated, covered in glass or in less than perfect condition, art can be unframed by a professional, rolled in 6" diameter tube and shipped insured for approx $30. Fragile, unframed art can be flat packed and shipped insured. Each artwork is unique so we will guide you accordingly.
DO I SHIP ART FRAMED OR UNFRAMED?
Depending on framing presentation, size, shipping costs, to name a few, we may advise you to have art unframed for shipping. This is determined on an individual basis.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT SELLING MY ART?
Notify us immediately. We will require at least two weeks notice to take your art off the market as it may already be a pending sale, which we will have to honor.
WHAT IF MY ART NEVER SELLS?
We will contact you to arrange for artwork to be shipped back to you at your cost. If you choose, you may lower the asking price and continue to market at ART4SALE (SWAHN GALLERIES & DESIGN).
HOW MUCH OF THE SELLING PRICE DO I GET AS THE SELLER?
ART4SALE (SWAHN GALLERIES & DESIGN) will handle all aspects of the sale on a 40% commission on consignment art. We will also consider working on a "Net Price" to Seller; you name your net price and we will add our commission to the asking price.
WHAT IF MY ART SELLS FOR MORE THAN THE CONSIGNED PRICE?
Art will be offered at the price decided on your consignment agreement. You will receive 60% of the final selling price if equal to or greater than agreement.
WHAT IF MY ART SELLS FOR LESS THAN THE CONSIGNED PRICE?
If an offer is presented that is lower than the consignment agreement, you will be notified either to accept or make a counter offer. In this event, you will receive 60% of the selling price. ART4SALE (SWAHN GALLERIES & DESIGN) will also reduce commission to expedite sale; however this will have no baring on your final net price.
WHAT IF I WANT TO SELL BUT DON'T WISH TO CONSIGN MY ART?
No problem! We offer on line CLASSIFIED ADS.
WHAT IF MY ART IS UNFRAMED AND YOU SELL IT WITH A NEW FRAME, DO I GET A PERCENTAGE OF THE FINAL SALE?
No, you will only receive the percentage based on the agreed unframed price. If you pay to have the art framed at SWAHN GALLERIES & DESIGN, you will be entitled to a percentage of the framing as well.
